The 10th ATP of CLP

10-atp-reg-1272-2008_02.jpgOn the 4th of May 2017, Regulation (EU) n. 2017/776 has been published on the Official Journal of the European Union (L 116). This regulation, also known as the 10th ATP, updates Regulation 1272/2008 (CLP). This regulation updates Annex VI of regulation 1272/2008 by updating the harmonised classification of 13 substances already listed under Annex VI, and by adding 23 newly harmonised substances to the same Annex.

The main addition brought by this ATP is the introduction of ATE values for substances in Annex VI, in this specific case for Nicotine (CAS: 54-11-5).

Moreover, in this ATP all tables concerning harmonised substances of Annex VI do not contain classification information according to directives 67/548/EEC and 1999/45/EC, which was repealed on the 1st of June 2015.

The 10th ATP will come into force for substances and mixtures on December 1st 2018, but companies can already start using it on a voluntary basis.
