All registrants of an existing substance must make a joint registration
According to Regulation (EU) 2016/9, starting from January 27 single registration dossiers cannot be submitted for substances that already have an associated registration. Instead, the submitter shall co-operate with the other parties interested in the submission, in order to make a joint submission dossier.
This new approach originates from a desire to better apply the terms ‘fair, transparent and non-discriminatory' for data sharing in the REACH Regulation, as clarified in Regulation (EU) 2016/9.
ECHA will provide guidance documents and other support material regarding this topic.
