Release 7 of the Data Package is available, specific for US dataIn previous newsletters we had the chance to get deeper in the ways in which to implement various GHS regulations and standards. These needs change from country to country, based on how they implement the GHS standard and on what additional laws and regulations they might implement.

This means that different countries can require different information in their SDS implementations, and providing these is a key aspect in the compliance of the Safety Data Sheet.

The EU CLP regulation exemplifies this by having harmonised substances with a specific classification and M factors, as well as further substance lists such as SVHC, and EU-specific occupational exposure limits.

Additional Data according to US HazCom

The US implementation of the GHS (HazCom) requires specific federal and state information to be reported in the Safety Data Sheet. Examples of these are OSHA exposure limits, IARC carcinogens, and California's Proposition 65.
