EU: Updates for PAH and Ergot Alkaloid MRLs

The European Commission published two legislative acts, amending the list of MRLs (Maximum Residue Levels) for Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and ergot sclerotia in foodstuffs:

  1. Commission Regulation (EU) 2015/1933 of 27 October 2015 amending Regulation (EC) No 1881/2006 as regards maximum levels for polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in cocoa fibre, banana chips, food supplements, dried herbs and dried spices.
  2. Commission Regulation (EU) 2015/1940 of 28 October 2015 amending Regulation (EC) No 1881/2006 as regards maximum levels of ergot sclerotia in certain unprocessed cereals and the provisions on monitoring and reporting.
