FDA Has Updated The Inventory of GRAS Notices

U.S. Food and Drug Administration has responded “No Questions” to following GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) notices:
- Mar 27, 2015 Meso-zeaxanthin
- Mar 26, 2015 Bacillus coagulans strain Unique IS2 spores preparation
- Mar 26, 2015 Aspartic protease derived from the flowers of Cynera cardunculus L.
- Mar 20, 2015 Lactobacillus fermentum CECT5716
- Mar 18, 2015 Lecithin from canola
- Mar 16, 2015 Lutein
- Mar 16, 2015 Lutein esters
- Mar 5, 2015 D-beta-hydroxybutyrate ester
Therefore the above substances are now listed in the inventory, but, as always, it is the continuing responsibility of specific manufacture to ensure that food ingredients that the firm markets are safe, and are otherwise in compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
