Pesticides in Canada: MRLs published for Sulfoxaflor

Posted By: Selerant RSA

Health Canada Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) published new MRLs for sulfoxaflor, an insecticide with systemic activity in plants. These 312 MRLs are now legally in effect as they have been published in the Maximum Residue Limit Database.

Sulfoxaflor is used against aphids, leafhoppers, San Jose scale and Lygus bugs on field vegetable, cereal grain, oilseed, fruit and nut crops.

The establishing of MRLs limits followed the Registration Decision RD2015-09, from June 2015 that granted registration for 3 insecticides containing sulfoxaflor, and the Proposed Maximum Residue Limit from March 2015 PMRL2015-10.

New sulfoxaflor MRLs are now accessible through our RegData portal.
