The European Union published on August 10, 2016 the Commission Regulation (EU) 2016/1355.

This regulation, which entered into force the August 11, 2016, established a stricter maximum residue limit for thiacloprid in honey and apiculture products than the last one. MRL has now been lowered from 0.5 mg/kg to 0.2 mg/kg.

This level was set up after the evaluation report made by the EFSA (European Food Safety Authority).
