
Taiwan FDA Publishes New Pesticide MRLs

On October 26, 2016, Taiwan Food and Drug Administration (TFDA) published an amendment to “Standards for Pesticide Residue Limits in Foods”, changing MRLs for 14 pesticides in 85 food categories. In addition, the list of food categories has been amended, by adding Coix Seed to cereals and crops category, Asplenium, Water Lily, Diplazium esculentum to Leaf vegetables with small leaves, Aoectochilus formosanus to Herbs and spices. These changes took effect immediately.
Taiwan Food and Drug Administration regularly updates pesticide regulations, issuing, in average, 4 amendment per year. Amendments are based on the latest safety assessment information submitted to the TFDA.
