Canada Proposes a Maximum Residue Limit for Pesticide Flutriafol

On April 12th, 2022, Health Canada’s Pesticides Management Regulatory Agency published an article on the “Proposed Maximum Residue Limit PMRL2022-06, Flutriafol” to control or suppress certain fungal diseases.

 

The document highlights the following key points:

  • Acceptability on the use to specify maximum residue limits on the imported commodities of hops and almonds;
  • The MRLs of pesticides are already established for apples, grapes, strawberries, and soybeans;
  • Proposed MRLs on food commodities hops and almonds are proposed at 0.20 ppm and 0.06 ppm respectively.

The public consultation period is valid until 75 days from the date of Publishing.
