On July 20, 2020, the Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA), Health Canada, proposed new maximum residue limits (MRLs) that apply to crop groups.

The pesticides involved are listed here:
  • Acequinocyl for dried hops (PMRL2020-06);
  • Glufosinate ammonium for tree nuts, olives, stone fruits, carrot roots (PMRL2020-07);
  • Trifloxystrobin for low growing berries and flaxseeds (PMRL2020-08);

The proposed date of adoption is normally within four to five months from the posting of the Proposed MRL document on the Health Canada website.
