On December 02, 2019, the China National Center For Food Safety Risk Assessment has notified the publication of a new draft document regarding the expansion of use of food contact materials.
Among others, new allowed substances are the following:
- Polyethylene, scope of use: rubber materials and products for production and reuse only;
- I.Solvent Purple 36, for use as a colorant in plastic materials and products;
- 2-Acrylic and 2-Methyl-2-Polymers of acrylamide, scope of use: plastics.
Feedback is accepted by December 25, 2019.
