European Union (EU) Latest Recalls of May 2019

On May 11 and 13, 2019, the European Union (EU) Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF) released multiple food alerts on various food commodities:

  • Salmonella enterica ser. Infantis in chilled chicken broiler from Poland (1759);
  • Aflatoxins revealed in shrivelled hazelnut kernels (1760), almonds (2019.1756), dried figs (2019.1767) and organic red chilli flakes (2019.1766).
  • High levels of boron in sparkling natural mineral water (1768) and in natural mineral waters (2019.1769).
