Japan Partially Amends Pesticides Reference Values

On February 7, 2019, the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) partially amended the “Specifications and Standards of Food and Food Additives, no. 370.”

The amendment refers to modifications to residual reference values of certain substances, such as:

  • Chloromecourt, plant growth modifier
  • Teflubenzolone, pesticide and veterinary pharmaceutical
  • Spinosad, pesticide and veterinary pharmaceutical
  • Pyribencarb, pesticide
  • Meta-traxyl and Mephenoxam, pesticides
