Japan released the technical criteria for certification of Processed Foods suitable for Vegetarians or Vegans

eu-proposes-import-tolerances-for-the-pesticide-deltamethrin (1)On September 6th, 2022, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) of Japan published the technical criteria for certification of Processed Foods suitable for Vegetarians or Vegans.

 

The main terms and definitions used in this technical criteria include the following key points:

 

  • Appropriate revisions of internal regulations shall be carried out periodically and sufficiently known to the workers;
  • Information related to management or understanding of the production process must be recorded such as Processed Foods suitable for Vegetarians or Vegans;
  • The records in 5.1 a) to d) and the documents that serve as the basis for such records shall be retained for three years from the date of shipment.
