On January 28, 2019, the Taiwan Food and Drug Administration (TFDA) modified and amended the “Standards for Pesticide Residue Limits in Foods“ and “Standards for Pesticide Residue Limits in Animal Products.“, published on September 12, 2018 and June 27, 2018 respectively.
The document amends the Appendix 1 of Article 3 and the Appendix 4 of Article 5 of the regulations, regarding the following main points:
- 156 new residual allowances were established for 19 pesticides
- Four residual tolerances of two pesticides were deleted
The amendment entered into force from the date of publication.
