Taiwan Intends to Modify Inspection Methods for Heavy Metals and Vet. Drugs

On May 31, 2019, the Taiwan Food and Drug Administration published notices to commence a period of public comments for the following purposes:

  • To abolish the method of test for arsenic, lead, and cadmium in bottled and packaged drinking water, method of test for mercury in bottled and packaged drinking water and method of test for copper and zinc in bottled and packaged drinking water.   • To collect comments on the draft amendment of "Method of Test for Veterinary Drug Residues in Foods- Test of Flunixin and Tolfenamic Acid.“ Check the full text here or at Id 198649 of our Food Law Library.
