Trace One_Turkish Food Codex Regulation on Food Labelling and Information to Consumers

On January 22, 2019, the World Trade Organization announced that the Turkish Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry/General Directorate is proposing to adopt the "Turkish Food Codex Regulation on Food Labelling and Information to Consumers.“

The document is in line with the "Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council,“ and the ultimate aim is to protect customers by “[setting out] general principles, needs and responsibilities governing food information to consumers and in particular food labelling“.

The proposed date of publication after receiving comments is April 20, 2019 and will enter into force on December 31, 2019.
