The final rules were published on the Federal Register on May 27th, 2016 with the titles:
‘‘Food Labeling: Revision of the Nutrition and Supplement Facts Labels’’: the Nutrition Facts Label Final Rule;
‘‘Food Labeling: Serving Sizes of Foods That Can Reasonably Be Consumed At One Eating Occasion; Dual-Column Labeling; Updating, Modifying, and Establishing Certain Reference Amounts Customarily Consumed; Serving Size for Breath Mints; and Technical Amendments’’: the Serving Size Final Rule.
The technical amendments regard the following:
Saturated fat, trans fat, polyunsaturated fat, and monounsaturated fat declarations;
New order of vitamin and minerals listed in the table at Section 101.9(c)(8)(iv);
Adoption of new sample labels that fully comply with the new regulations and correcting errors made previously.
